Story estimation, together
PointingRoom is an online planning poker tool for agile and Scrum teams. Estimate user stories during backlog refinement or sprint planning, compare perspectives, and save the points your team agrees on.
Vote before the reveal
Choose a Fibonacci story point card. Votes stay hidden until the facilitator reveals them, giving everyone a chance to make an independent estimate.
Keep the discussion focused
Set a time limit for each story with a shared hourglass and digital timer. Capture decisions and open questions in the discussion notes.
Leave with a session report
End the session to review story numbers, titles, final points, and saved notes. Print the report or save it as a PDF from your browser.
How to use PointingRoom
- Create a session, add your user stories, and share the session link or ID.
- Ask teammates to join, discuss the current story, and choose their estimates.
- Reveal the cards, talk through differences, and save the agreed story points. Vote again when more discussion is needed.
What do story points mean?
Story points express relative effort, complexity, and uncertainty. They are not a fixed number of hours. Use stories your team understands as a reference for comparing new work.
Can remote teammates join the same session?
Yes. Share the session link or have teammates enter the session ID on this page. The facilitator selects stories, reveals votes, controls the timer, and saves the final estimate.
